Those fingerless gloves you knit me last year? Absolutely invaluable for knitting/writing/internet purposes now that our house is getting very very cold and we can't afford to turn on the heating. Thank you again!

Also, you never cease to amaze me with how organized you are, even when you write about things going a little bit wrong. I am still unemployed and although I want a job very badly, part of me is freaking out about the fact that I'll have to have (horror of horrors) a routine again. I'm just not very good at it. On the upside, Pogues has now got a job so the chances of us starving this winter are marginally slimmer, woop!

The professor has no idea how to lead a discussion! She reads from a script for about 20 minutes and then says "What do you think?" It's a 2 hour long class! The material is interesting, but I won't be showing up to class very often I don't think...

I did a bunch of stuff on Irigaray in my Women's Writing module last year - it is indeed pretty interesting although some of the shit she's written is HARD BLOODY WORK to read.

I am so jealous of you when you talk about your studies. Being a graduate s pants.

AHHHHHH! If you go to grad school in Santa Barbara I WILL TOTALLY BE STALKING YOU. My best friend's family lives there and ergo she spends like a third of the year there (she studies in the UK the rest of the year) and ERGO, I occasionally go there to visit them. If you and Matt are living there too, I will have TWO reasons to go there and TWO reasons is enough reasons for me to justify spending large amounts of money on trans atlantic flights(or just cross-country flights/trains if we happened to be in New York with Pogues' family at the right time), which is good, because it's lovely in Santa Barbara.

I have 12 months no-interest with her :) It's not a huge amount of debt, and she's a sweet lady. If for some reason I can't pay her back in 12 months time, then she said we'll work out some more details.

She's also getting fresh-made pizzas every month (she'd rather clean her tile grout than cook...) with each payment. Mmm. Pizza.

I still don't understand how it became legal to have interest rates at usurious levels like 30%. Our politicians in the pockets of Big Business again, no doubt.

Just me, but I would fork out 5% to Grandma unless she is well off.

Oooh, I'm really impressed with your kitchen cart! I've wanted one of those forever, but they're kind of pricey...at least for us.

I'm lucky enough to have my sewing equipment set up in our bedroom...such a blessing! But I am very impressed with your hand sewing skills! I've had my own sewing machine since I was 8 years old...but I don't know how to hand sew at all. It seems like there's some secret to it that I haven't figured out yet. Great job!

Oh, and I can't wait to see your knitted things! I'm not an accomplished knitter, but it's my craft-of-choice for cold winter evenings! (Or while nursing a newborn, which will coincide with winter this year).

Wow! Great job on the kitchen cart, and really like the fold out sides, and the handles...

I also don't get to sewing very often, because of being busy with my kids, but also, our spare bedroom is currently my husband's office as well as spare bed in there for now, and I can't set my machines up! That is my dream... to one day have that room all to myself and my sewing stuff!
